Dr Anna Perara

Anna graduated from medical school at the University of Auckland in 2018. Prior to embarking on a career in medicine, Anna completed an MSc in Health Psychology where she worked with people with HIV infection. This experience highlighted to her the importance of holistic and patient-centered care and instilled in her a passion for patient advocacy. Anna understands the importance of physical and psychological well-being when it comes to patient health, with both being just as important as each other! 

After finishing her medical degree, Anna completed rotations in various medical subspecialities at Auckland City and Middlemore Hospital. She currently assists with the teaching of medical students at the University of Auckland and contributes to medical research in the clinical trials space.

Outside of medicine, Anna enjoys tennis, running, and spending as much time outdoors with her young family.
